Caleb is a man with a singular interest in revenge. Kidnapped as a young boy and sold into slavery by a power-hungry mobster, he has thought of nothing but vengeance. For twelve years he has immersed himself in the world of pleasure slaves searching for the one man he holds ultimately responsible. Finally, the architect of his suffering has emerged with a new identity, but not a new nature. If Caleb is to get close enough to strike, he must become the very thing he abhors and kidnap a beautiful girl to train her to be all that he once was.

Eighteen-year-old Olivia Ruiz has just woken up in a strange place. Blindfolded and bound, there is only a calm male voice to welcome her. His name is Caleb, though he demands to be called Master. Olivia is young, beautiful, naïve and willful to a fault. She has a dark sensuality that cannot be hidden or denied, though she tries to accomplish both. Although she is frightened by the strong, sadistic, and arrogant man who holds her prisoner, what keeps Olivia awake in the dark is her unwelcome attraction to him.

WARNING: This book contains very disturbing situations, dubious consent, strong language, and graphic violence.

Sandy’s review:

I downloaded this book because I saw so many good reviews of the series.  I was surprised by the premise of the story: A beautiful young man who himself was kidnapped and sold into sex slavery then becomes what he hates.  I understood what Caleb was trying to do, get out but as we all know that never works, you just get pulled down further.  He comes to America where young virgin women sell for a high price on the human trafficking market.  He sees a beautiful Latina who is shy, quiet, and tries to be invisible so he assumes that she is going to be an easy submissive.  Of course she is any thing but submissive.

Olivia is trying to get out of her current shitty life by keeping her head down and getting good grades so she can get a scholarship to get away.  Her mother hates her because her ex husband wanted Olivia and not her.  Olivia is going through her daily life when she wakes up kidnapped in Mexico.  Through most of the story she fights even when she knows she’s going to be punished in some sick way.  She starts to have feelings for Caleb because he actually shows her affection which she is starved for due to her mothers hatred toward her.  There are some crazy situations in the book that had my heart racing so I am onto the next book to see what happens to this very odd pair.
